ジェイソン氏（グラフィックデザイナー）が当社の製造部でなんと御朱印帖作りの体験をされました。日本人でも中々難しいこの作業、社員も当初心配をしていましたが、このワークショップは大成功に終わり、英語での説明が難しいなかでも、当社員との交流は大変素晴らしいものでした。彼らは大変にハッピーであり、後程送って頂いたメールに「今回の日本での体験の中で、ＫＯＤＯでのこのワークショップはお気に入り」とのメッセージを頂き、当社員も大変ハッピー。この様な国を超えた交流が当社のメッセージである　「和紙の和は平和の和」に繋がり、彼らにとっても我々にとっても大変貴重な体験となりました。この様な素敵な経験は中々味わえないものですね、

Exciting news at KODO Company in July !

On 25^th July 9 graphic design students and their teacher, Jason G Sturgill visited us to do a workshop. They are all from Portland State University, USA. They all loved making ‘’goshuin-cho’’- the traditional Japanese notebooks described on our home page and Facebook. ( Please check them out ! )

It seemed a little difficult for them to follow the process to make them, but they enjoyed doing it. Not many people at our company can speak English, but we managed to communicate quite well and everyone had a good time. It was a very positive international experience. We hope that this is a good memory for them and we can all keep in touch. We will keep on introducing one special aspect of Japanese culture- Japanese ‘’washi’’ paper rpoducts !!
